Since 1939, Eiken Chemical has contributed to public health and the fight against infectious diseases in Japan.
We contribute to the advancement of medical care and the improvement of people’s health by developing clinical diagnostic reagents, medical devices, and systems necessary for medical care in areas such as urinalysis, clinical chemistry, and immunological, serological and molecular biological tests.
Our fecal immunochemical tests and laboratory equipment for colorectal cancer screening, currently in use in Japan and around the world, are contributing significantly to the early detection of colorectal cancer and the reduction of mortality rates as a result of this disease.
In addition, products for molecular diagnostic testing using LAMP (Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification), a nucleic acid amplification technology developed independently by Eiken Chemical, offer the advantages of simplicity and speed. Our LAMP product for tuberculosis detection, in particular, was endorsed by the WHO’s policy guidance for pulmonary tuberculosis diagnosis in 2016.
We strive to contribute to society through the sustainable growth of our business. With “Saving Your Health” as our grand vision, we will continue to protect people’s health as a global clinical diagnostics company.
