HATTORI SEISAKUSHO

HATTORI SEISAKUSHO

HATTORI SEISAKUSHO CO.,LTD.

In 1935, our founder Zenichi Hattori discovered that the phenomenon of charging by friction could separate the leaves from the stalk of green tea and invented an electrostatic tea processing machine. Hattori Seisakusho co. ltd. was thus established.
To further improve green tea processing, we successfully commercialized color sorting machines for the first time in Japan in 1962. Our company has been a longtime pioneer of tea sorting in Japan, and has developed a variety of sorting machines.
Our market has been expanding from the tea industry to food, medical and chemical materials.
Our sorting methods have developed from electrostatic sorting to color sorting, vacuum sorting, visual processing sorting, and optical characteristic sorting.
As a result, we have a major market share in the Japanese color sorting machine market for tea, spices, seeds, seafood and powder. We also offer high-end color sorting machines for grains and beans.
In the last 30 years, we have installed about 10,000 units in Japan and about 2,000 units in overseas markets.
To support our customers, we have three sales/service branches in Japan and eight agencies around the world.
