COMPANY PROFILE

KIKUCHI GEAR was founded in 1940 with its Head Office and main plant located in Ashikaga, Tochigi, Japan. With over 85 years of experience in gear manufacturing, the company has built a strong reputation in the industry.

The Head Plant operates in several key areas:

• Manufacturing of prototype and mass production gears

• Production and assembly of prototype reducers and gearboxes (including reducers and winches)

• R&D activities including gear analysis, gear and reducer design, and testing equipment development

In 2024, KIKUCHI GEAR expanded its capabilities by acquiring a gear manufacturing company located approximately 75 km from the head office, now operating as the Utsunomiya Plant. This facility specializes in high-precision gears for motorsports, known for excellent accuracy and quick delivery.

KIKUCHI GEAR supplies gears to a wide range of industries, including automotive, construction machinery, aerospace, and robotics. We offer both prototype and mass production gears, from general-purpose models to high-precision gears for aerospace applications.

For the past decade, we have also expanded into the assembly of reducers, particularly for construction machinery and forestry winches. More recently, we have entered the field of robotics, offering development and analysis of robot gearboxes and customer gear evaluations.
